The nature of the transition-to-postsecondary-education landscape is one that changes rapidly and is fraught with complexity.  During this plenary session we will investigate the nature of new challenges facing students as they transition to their postsecondary experience; the impact of laws and regulation; the imperative of self-advocacy; the conundrum of ‘documentation;’ and the practical ‘new worlds’ for which students have to be prepared.  Building on these understandings we will entertain several fresh approaches and ideas for enhancing our work and that of our colleagues in supporting students as they prepare for their transition experience.
